Where are you located, and what areas do you serve?
Way of Cake is a home bakery based in Bedford, Nova Scotia. We serve customers throughout Halifax and the broader Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM).
Do you deliver?
We're primarily pickup only, most orders are picked up from our home bakery in Bedford. Delivery is available in rare cases depending on the circumstances, at an agreed-upon price. Reach out when placing your order to ask about delivery.
How do I place an order?
Submit the order form on our Place an Order page with details about your event, the items you'd like, and any flavor or dietary preferences. We'll reply by email within 1–2 business days to confirm details, pricing, and availability.
How much does a custom cake cost?
Every order is custom, so pricing depends on size, design, and flavors, and we don't publish set prices. Submit the order form for a free, no-obligation quote, and we'll email you back within 1–2 business days with pricing and availability.
What are your hours?
We're open Monday–Saturday, 8am–8pm, and closed Sundays.
Do you offer allergen-friendly or dietary options?
Yes. Our order form lets you flag dietary needs including gluten-free, nut-free, dairy-free, egg-free, and vegan, so we can accommodate your requirements.
What flavors, fillings, and frostings do you offer?
Our cake flavors include vanilla, chocolate, red velvet, lemon, funfetti, and marble, with fillings such as vanilla buttercream, chocolate ganache, lemon curd, strawberry jam, and fresh fruit. How far in advance should I order?
The earlier the better, especially for weddings and large events. Send us your date on the order form and we'll confirm availability by email.
What kinds of events do you bake for?
We bake for birthdays, weddings, showers, and any special occasion, along with seasonal treats and cupcakes for everyday celebrations.
